INORGANIC ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY
Area of research:
Water purification, water conservation, analytical chemistry, MOFs, environmental chemistry, microgel and their applications, biomaterials.
Theme:
Hybrid microgel, thin film materials, bimetallic MOF
SDGs covered:
Good Health and well Being (SGD # 03), Clean water and Sanitation (SGD # 06), Climate Action (SGD # 13)
Faculty Members:
Prof. Dr. Jamil Anwar Chaudhry, Dr Hamid Raza, Dr Abdul Rauf, Shah Muhammad Haroon.
Description:
This research theme would involve the synthesis and characterization of new inorganic materials such as metal-organic frameworks, zeolites, and other porous materials, and the investigation of their catalytic properties in various chemical reactions such as hydrogenation, oxidation, and carbon dioxide conversion. The group could also focus on the development of new electrocatalysts for energy conversion processes such as fuel cells and electrolysis, and investigate the structure-property relationships that govern their performance.
